“GartenRheinMain” program booklet with 650 events
Offenbach district – It was not only since the pandemic with the contact restrictions and lockdown that many people discovered that the forest or a walk past meadows and fields gives strength. The trend is going out into nature, which those interested can experience in many facets and with all their senses in the Offenbach district. How about a trip to the monastery garden of the former Benedictine abbey in Seligenstadt, to the teaching and herb garden in Dreieich, where you can go on an olfactory adventure trip, or a walk through a canyon? The Dietesheim quarries in Mühlheim offer a fantastic backdrop with their bizarre rock structures and many small lakes. These and other goals in nature can be found in the “GartenRheinMain” program of the “KulturRegion FrankfurtRheinMain”. This year, the brochure presents around 650 garden, park and nature events.
Many appointments focus on the central question: “Is nature still getting a green branch or is climate change still making the forest difficult to create?” The title of the brochure “GartenRheinMain” is “Green in Transition” and is intended to attract attention also direct attention to environmental pollution and global climate change with all its consequences and challenges. With the walks, herb hikes, day tours, sightseeing, bike excursions, workshops and sensual experiences – the Offenbach district is represented with events in Dreieich, Langen, Mühlheim, Neu-Isenburg, Rodgau and Seligenstadt – there are many opportunities to broaden your horizons To get useful things to hand in order to adapt one’s own actions and to experience green spaces in all their diversity.
The program is available free of charge in the district building in Dietzenbach, in town halls, citizens’ offices and tourist information offices in the Rhine-Main region, as well as in the “KulturRegion” office.
