The live transmissions from the MET New York conclude on Saturday, June 3 with the wonderful opera “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. CINEWORLD Mainfrankenpark will broadcast the new production live on the big screen. Conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann, Erin Morley, Kathryn Lewek, Lawrence Brownlee, Thomas Oliemans, Alan Held, Stephen Milling and Brenton Ryan sing and perform. Production is in the hands of Simon McBurney.
A Magic Flute in acclaimed English director Simon McBurney’s exciting vision, which The Wall Street Journal called “the best production I’ve ever seen of Mozart’s opera”. Nathalie Stutzmann conducts the MET Orchestra, with the pit raised to reflect the Making musicians visible to the audience and enabling interaction with the stage, McBurney ignites a firework of theatrical effects that incorporates projections, sound effects and acrobatics.
The performance starts at 7 p.m. in the CINEWORLD adventure cinema! Snacks and sparkling wine can be purchased before the performance and during the break. The live broadcast lasts around three hours and 30 minutes and is in German with German subtitles.
