Heli tourism is coming to Vitura as a part of Vitura Fest by providing an aerial view of the hilly tourist destinations. The helipad will be prepared in five acres of Vavarakonam where the fair is held. Visitors can access the helicopter with a pass on the 35 meter long and wide ground. Then the flight is over the scenic spots like Agasthyakootam, Peppara, Ponmudi and Thenmala.
Heli tourism will be implemented for two days in the ten-day fest. Six people can enter in a single room. 4000 per person charge.
Holiday Heli Tourism MD Benny and Group Captain GG Kumar visited the place last day and assessed the possibilities. Heli tourism is proving new possibilities for mountain tourism.
The hilly region is all set to welcome Vitura Fest
The hilly region is gearing up to welcome the Vitura Fest under the auspices of the Vitura Development Committee. The fest will be organized from May 1 to 10 at Vithura Vavarakonam five acres.
Agricultural industrial marketing fair, seminars, cultural gathering, art shows, poetry evening, drama festival, cattle market, food court, cinema village, medical camps, flower and plant fair, amusement park motor expo, arts and sports fair are held as part of the fest.
There will also be stalls of government and semi-government institutions. Adoor Prakash MP, G.Stephen MLA, N.Shaukathali, Paraniyam Devakumar, CS.Vidyasagar, Charupara Ravi, P.Girikumar and MS Rasheed were the Chief Patrons and Panchayat President V.S. .Baburaj as President and S. Satishachandran Nair as General Secretary is in charge of the organizing committee consisting of 151 members.
