At the end of August, Pegasus Pagalms invites you to a concert filled with post-folklore sounds and rhythms! On August 26, the group “Kaligo” will take the stage!
“Kaligo” is a group formed by the union of experienced and creative musicians – the members are Diāna Logina (vocals, various instruments), Marita Karpa (accordion), Edijs Ostapko (guitar), Kārlis Bērziņš (keyboards), Jānis Narbuts (bass guitar), Kristaps Karp (drums, percussion, vocals).
The group’s repertoire includes Latvian folk songs, world music, as well as original music inspired by folklore. In the music, you will hear both soft and folk-romantic moods, as well as the influence of pop music, rock and even heavier music. “The freedom of the fusion of genres is the basis of our group – we are free thinkers who are inspired by folk and world music!”
