‘Expensive petrol keeps traffic jams away, despite the end of corona measures’ Car

Last week was the first normal working week since the end of the corona measures on February 25. Traffic jams, however, were only sparse on the Dutch roads, Flitsmeister sees, at the request of the AD analyzed the traffic on the road. The 2.2 million users of the Flitsmeister app covered a total of 203 million kilometers between 7 and 13 March. Almost as much as the 204 million kilometers in the same week in February.

The number of delays for motorists was also limited. On Thursday 10 March – Thursday is the busiest day of the week – there was a 814 minute delay at the busiest time in the morning (the total number of traffic jams multiplied by the minutes of delay per traffic jam) for Flitsmeister users. At the peak in the evening rush hour, that was 1080 minutes.
