Expend4bles: The Ultimate Action Movie with Stallone, Statham, and New Blood

So we finally got the first trailer for the long-awaited fourth part of the action series The Expendables – Expendables. It bears the official name Expend4bles: Expend4bles and the team of famous action heroes returns – Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture.

The well-known team will again be supplemented by new names from the younger generation, so the cast will be expanded for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran and Andy Garcia. And as always, the Expendables are only called upon when all other options are out of the question. The creators promise that new members of the team with new styles and tactics will give a whole new meaning to the term “new blood”.

The wait for Expend4bles was quite long, because after the relatively successful first two parts, the third one was aimed at a “wider audience” to make the film more accessible, so the blood was reduced and the result was a drop in sales compared to the predecessor by 100 million dollars. The fourth installment has been awaited since 2014, when Expendables 3 premiered.

It is already known that the father of the project, the action star Sylvester Stallone, will play only a minor role in the film Expend4bles and will pass the baton to Jason Statham. Although it was not known how much Stallone’s role will be reduced, the actor has hinted that Expend4bles is “80%” Statham. For various reasons, many well-known actors from the previous three films will not appear in the film, so it is a question of how attractive the Expendables will be to the audience.

This time the film is directed by Scott Waugh (he made the rather below-average films Need for Speed ​​and Captive of the Snow), the script was written by Spenser Cohen (he participated in the scripts for the below-average sci-fi films Extinction and Moonfall). Even if we can expect a positive surprise, it is most likely the worst part of the series. Expend4bles: The Expendables hits theaters on September 28, 2023.
