The expatriate billionaire and investor Kjell Inge Røkke earned the most in Norway in 2022.

This is shown by the tax lists that were presented on Wednesday morning.

He therefore pushes salmon heir Gustav Magnar Witzøe down from the first place he held last year.

Unknown 32-year-old out

Røkke had an income of around NOK 411 million in 2022, and he paid around NOK 78 million in tax.

The until then unknown 32-year-old Kristoffer Daniel Norambuena, who ended up in 7th place last year, is off the list this year.

Number two on the list is Ranveig Bergstøl from Larvik. She is the daughter of Jacob Solgaard, one of two founders of the Jackson group, which sells packaging. She earned around NOK 392 million last year, i.e. around NOK 19 million less than Røkke.

Jackson became part of the Bewi group in 2022. The group is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and is an international supplier of packaging, components and insulation solutions.

In third place is the high-profile investor Øystein Stray Spetalen. His income amounted to NOK 353 million last year.

This shows the tax lists

The income shows the sum of the taxable income minus eligible deductions such as the minimum deduction, interest expenses, losses on shares and other deductible expenses.

The fortune is the tax value of what the person owns, minus debts. The figure is mostly lower than the real wealth, partly because the home you own and live in is valued at 25 percent of the assumed market value.

The tax figure shows how much a person has paid in tax in the past year.
