Star Cinemas and Line Investment and Real Estate Company, the mall development and management arm of Lulu International Group, have announced the launch of their joint venture. .
This expansion will add 22 screens to the current 76 screens occupied by Star Cinemas. This came during the signing ceremony that was held at Lulu’s regional office in Al Qusais. The ceremony was attended by many dignitaries, including Ashraf Ali, CEO of Lulu Group International, Ahmed Gulchen, Founder and CEO of Fares Film Distribution and Star Cinemas, and Satyajit Pendharkar, Director of Operations at Star Cinema, and Wajib Al-Khoury, Director of Line Investment and Real Estate Company W.L.L. and Bijou George, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Region.
Additional screens will be placed on the sidelines of this joint venture in the following locations: Al Raha Mall: 3 screens, Al Wahda Mall: 9 screens, Al Foah Mall: 6 screens, Barari Outlet Mall: 4 screens.
The opening of Star Cinemas in Dubai Silicon Oasis Mall, Sharjah Central Mall and Ras Al Khaimah Mall was also an important part of the agreement. The signing of this joint venture will see Star Cinemas become the second largest cinema operator in the UAE, according to the number of screens.

On the sidelines of the anticipation of the event, Star Cinema extended an invitation to attend its pioneers who are awaiting the release of the movie “Jawan”, which will be released on September 7, 2023 on its screens.
