[2日 ロイター] – Pro-Russian authorities in Kherson Oblast, unilaterally annexed by Russia, announced on Thursday they would begin evacuating people with reduced mobility from Kakhovka district as part of a larger resettlement of citizens east of the Dnieper.
Russia withdrew from the western bank of the Dnieper, including Kherson, last month. As a result, a large area of u200bu200bthe Dnieper River became the first line of the southern front, and fierce battles were fought on both banks.
Kakhovka authorities say bedridden and disabled people will be relocated to the southeastern district of Genichesk.
