Therefore, his party has just confirmed the arrival of a former executive from Electronic Arts and Facebook, namely Mike Verdu, to join Netflix as VP Game Development.
Verdu will work closely with COO Greg Peters to lead the process of Netflix’s expansion into the video game industry in the future.
Verdu himself had worked at EA Mobile and was responsible for EA’s studios such as Popcap, Capital Games, and also Track Twenty. Then he moved to Facebook to become VP of AR/VR content and brought a number of games to Oculus.
It is hoped that the presence of Mike Verdu will make Netflix really able to present high-quality video games on its platform. However, it is not known exactly how Netflix plans in this gaming industry.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Netflix has plans to bring games to its service 12 months from now. In addition, the game can also be played by Netflix subscribers.
