Horse-riding enthusiasts and equine friends, Cheval Passion is the event not to be missed. For more than 30 years, he has highlighted the work of breeders and riders while putting on unique shows. Want to discover the equestrian world and those who bring it to life? Meet from January 19 to 23 at the Parc des Expositions in Avignon.
If in 2021, Passion Horse could not honor his show because of health constraints, this year, he intends to resume his place of winter event dear to the Vauclusians.
No less than 6 buildings will host the 250 exhibitors from all over Europe. Here, professionals and amateurs alike will be able to meet and discuss novelties in the horse world.

From equipping riders, to horse boxes, through animal care methods, in the 10,000 m2 of exhibition space, everything will be there to meet the slightest request from visitors. And if they are more and more numerous, this is certainly due to the fact that the equine sector is the leading private employer in the sports world with 180,000 jobs. The enthusiasm of individuals for horse riding is also on the rise. It is also the only sport to have seen its number of licensees increase after the first wave of the covid in 2020.
So that Passion Horse rhymes more with innovation, a challenge is proposed during the event. Companies, associations and organizations that have something new to offer in terms of equipment, service, tourism, training or sustainable development, are invited to apply to perhaps win the innovation challenge.

Amaze the little ones and amaze the grown-ups … The Gala des Crinières d’Or, heart and raison d’être of the festival, will offer an exceptional program this year.
Guest of honor: the Cavalry regiment and the Drums of the Republican Guard. Produced for the first time in 1990 on the stage of Cheval Passion, the Republican Guard is still fascinating thanks to its incredible mastery of equestrian dressage.

It is the Carrousel of the Spears, one of the 7 special formations of the Republican Guard cavalry, which will perform January 20, 21, 22 and 23. The thirty-two horsemen dressed in full dress and armed with their spears, will parade to the rhythm of the drums. On the program: a series of various figures and demonstrations of movements in the pure tradition of military riding.
Original creations with great riders such as Caroline Osmont-Patiño, Renaud Vinuesa or Laury Tisseur will be offered during the Crinières d’Or gala.
Other unusual shows to discover during the festival:
- The equestrian cabaret. Meet the talents of the emerging scene over a drink or a meal.
- Pony Passion. Ponies and children gathered for shows worthy of the greatest. Each equestrian center, previously registered, will take the stage to present its number.

Exhibition, show … And entertainment! Two competitions will see the best riders compete against each other to the delight of visitors.
The competition of western riding. A little American folklore with this form of riding which has around 200 disciplines. Speed and figures for horses guided by cowboys and cowgirls then equipped with fringed pants and traditional hats.
The competition of working horse riding. Here, we judge the ability of the rider and his horse to sort, gather and extract the animals. Individually or in teams, we discover once again a discipline that is part of the pure equestrian tradition.
