Exhibition: the small format takes back its rights

After a blank year, without exhibitions, due to the health crisis, the Formes et Couleurs association, chaired by Jean-Paul Cormier, is organizing its 22 e Small-format show, in partnership with the municipality of Gellainville Bonville, at the Simone-Veil room.

“This edition is very special because it is a regional show but, given the sanitary constraints, we cannot bring in artists from Orléans, Orne .., regrets the president. They mainly come from Chartres, Lucé, Champhol, Châteaudun, Ver-les-Chartres… Usually, we welcome twenty-four but this year we had to divide the number by two ”

First time

The visitor will be able to admire works only in small format, namely 41 x 33 for oils and 30 x 40 for watercolors and pastels. Eleven painters and two sculptors (Pascal Launay, from Chartres, Pierre Le Bras from Châteauneuf-en-Thymerais) are registered to date.

Nathalie Bonneau will present original paintings with adhesive tape. Some artists are coming for the first time. This is the case of Philippe Ramolet (watercolors), Pierre Le Bras, Lucette Virlouvet (oil). Each artist will offer seven or eight works. Jean-Paul Cormier will also exhibit his figurative watercolors.

“The former president, Robert Aubry, who has always painted, died two years ago. His family bequeathed us some of his works that will be put on sale for the benefit of the association on Sunday. ”

Small format show: Sunday May 30, 9 am to 6 pm. Simone-Veil room in Gellainville Bonville. Free entrance. Wearing a mask is compulsory.
