Exhibition opening “Change will come” in the Dresden State Art Collections · Leipziger Zeitung

This Wednesday (November 6, 2024) the exhibition “Change will come” will open in the Dresden State Art Collections. The head of the Saxon Ministry of Culture, Franziska Brech, takes part in the opening and gives a welcoming speech. The exhibition shows works by Polish artists who deal with criticism and engagement in art.

The curators of the show are Hanna Wroblewska, Magdalena Komornicka and Maria Isserlis (SKD). Hanna Wroblewska has been Minister of Culture and National Heritage in Poland since May 2024. She will be present at the opening of the exhibition in Dresden and will give a welcoming speech. Prof. Dr. Marion Ackermann, General Director of the Dresden State Art Collections, will welcome you to the opening of the exhibition.

Saxony’s Culture Minister Barbara Klepsch emphasizes: “The good cultural relations with our neighboring country Poland mean a lot to me. Together we can strengthen our culture and withstand turbulent political times. And even more important: we can learn from each other and inspire each other. Because culture knows no borders.

I would like to thank General Director Marion Ackermann for implementing the exhibition and Minister of Culture Hanna Wroblewska for the basic concept and successful collaboration. And I would especially like to thank all the artists involved in the exhibition. With their commitment and creativity, they support a democratic society. I wish the exhibition an exciting opening and numerous visitors.”

The exhibition can be seen from November 9, 2024 to March 15, 2025 in the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau, Dresden State Art Collections. Further information is available online at
