Dominique Le Page lives and works in Quimper

An interior designer by trade, he became interested in engraving from 2005 in Yanick Pen’du’s studio, who introduced him to work on zinc. From 2009, he attended Yves Doaré’s studio for engraving on copper, wood or linoleum. .

Through his prints, Dominique Le Page, faithful to his theme of the tree and water, declines these various engraving techniques which allow him, in different forms, to compose or recompose imaginary landscapes inviting the viewer. to travel or reverie.

With the size savings, the artist, strongly imbued with the Japanese print, gives free rein to his inspiration to translate his landscapes with this form of simplification obtained by the play of large areas and monochrome which help to give this calm and restful aspect of the composition, fruit of reality and imagination intertwined.
