Exhibition “Munich from Above” opens

The organizers, the “Münchner Forum”, the “Altstadtfreunde München” and the “Bürgerdialog Online”, want to use the exhibition to stimulate a social discussion about whether or not high-rise buildings are a solution to Munich’s current housing problems.

“High-rise buildings completely unsuitable for families”

Wolfgang Czisch from the “Münchner Forum” answers this question clearly: “The high-rise buildings do not solve any problems because they are far too expensive, both in construction and in operation,” he emphasized in the BR interview.

In his opinion, they are completely unsuitable for families, and the value of the land would increase dramatically due to the construction of new high-rise buildings in the area and “displace the people who do work in Munich from their apartments because they can no longer pay them” , Wolfgang Czisch is convinced.

Photos should stimulate thought

The photos that are hanging in the Geranienhaus at Nymphenburg Palace are also intended to encourage visitors to reflect on the question: “What does Munich want? What is Munich?” Was the intention of the organizers.

The exhibition runs from October 8 to 21 and can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free
