Throughout October 2024, the Leipzig gallery hotel at Hedwigstrasse 1-3 will be hosting an exhibition of contemporary visual artists. The event will culminate in a special charity auction on October 26, 2024, starting at 3 p.m., at which all of the exhibited works will be auctioned off. The proceeds from the auction will go equally to the artists and the newly founded care and welfare company Monsecur, which relies on donations to realize its first projects.
The vernissage will take place on October 10, 2024 at 6 p.m. Interested art lovers, collectors and supporters of social initiatives are cordially invited to view the works throughout the month. The auction on October 26 offers a unique opportunity to acquire art while making a valuable contribution.
Artistic diversity and social commitment
The exhibition is generously and free of charge supported by the Galeriehotel Leipziger Hof as well as by the renowned Leipzig gallery owner Martin Koenitz and the experienced curator Kerstin Herrlich. Herrlich, known for her involvement in the annual “Night of Art”, has set herself the goal of bringing together local and international art and using it for a good cause.
Some of the participating artists have decided to donate all the proceeds from their auctioned works to Monsecur. This provides the non-profit company with important financial resources to start its social projects. 50 percent of the proceeds go directly to the artists, while the other half is invested in the development of Monsecur.
