Self-employed workers and people who employ up to nine people in their company can benefit from the exemption from contributions. This solution is to help entrepreneurs survive the difficult time of economic stagnation caused by a pandemic.
–
The person running a company may submit to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) an application for exemption from paying contributions for three months: from March to May 2020. Importantly, the time to be exempted from payment passes on Tuesday – June 30.
–
To be able to submit an application, however, several conditions must be met: income for March could not exceed the amount of 15,000. PLN 681 If the income exceeded this amount, then the income could not be higher than PLN 7,000.
–
The relief is due even if the entrepreneur uses the so-called reliefs for the start, but – what is important – the debt in paying ZUS contributions cannot be longer than a year.
–
It is worth remembering that an entrepreneur who has paid contributions would like to take advantage of the relief may apply to ZUS. The plant will not refund contributions, but they will be used for payment in the following months.
–
Watch: PLN 243 billion came to those insured with ZUS. “Accounting issue”
