Exempting violators from fines.. A “new” amendment to the insurance system

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The “Poll” opinion platform has put forward a proposed amendment to the social insurance system, aimed at exempting violators from fines.

This project aims to delegate the power of the General Organization for Social Insurance to settle with violating clients in accordance with the provisions of Article 62 of the Social Insurance Law and in accordance with the controls set by the Board of Directors of the Corporation to implement the power to exempt fines for imposed violations.

The proposed amendment includes the addition of paragraph (8) to Article (62) of the Social Insurance Law, and stipulates that “the institution may settle with the violator for an exemption from all or some of the fines stipulated under this article.”
