According to the minister, who was speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with Chinese businesspeople, linked to the Angola/China Chamber of Commerce, effective national food security requires the involvement and coordination of everyone, with a focus on a strong and sustainable productive sector.
To this end, he stressed, it is necessary for each investor to do their part, investing in the production of products and raw materials that guarantee sustainability and food security for Angolans.
In this sense, he asked Chinese businesspeople to continue investing in Angola, expanding the areas of activity in the food segment and other productive sectors essential to the lives of the populations.
For the minister, Angola counts on everyone’s energy to be aligned with the desired economic level.
José de Lima Massano, who, in the meeting with the Chinese, was accompanied by other ministers from the Executive’s economic team, also asked the Chinese to expand their investments not only in Luanda, but also in the rest of the country.
Angola is a privileged market
For his part, the minister counselor at the Chinese embassy, Adão Shong, said that Angola constitutes one of his country’s most important markets in Africa.
For this reason, he pointed out, Angola has been benefiting from several Chinese investments that, every day, contribute to the growth of jobs and the diversification of the national economy.
He also pointed out that, to date, more than 400 companies from his country operate in Angola with a financial volume above 25 billion dollars.
The president of the Angola/China Chamber of Commerce, Luís Cupenala, defended greater protection and de-bureaucratization of Chinese investment processes in Angola.
