This black and white cat, nicknamed Tuxedo, “Suffered a horrible death when a sadistic couple encouraged their two dogs to attack him”, say the authors of the petition. He was part of a group of feral cats and had lived in the residential complex since 2011, fed by a local resident.
Punish the couple
The dogs shredded the cat. The petition, published by the Animal Abuse Group Animal Victory, urges police to take swift action against pit bull owners. Armed with a stick, they also chased the cat from the tree where he was trying to take refuge.
“Please sign the petition today to let authorities know that this animal cruelty case must be fully investigated and the couple must be brought to justice!”
Almost a month after the tragedy, no arrests were made, deplores in an interview with the New York Post the woman who gave food in Tuxedo, devastated by his death.
