It mimics the processes that take place inside the Sun and has the potential to make humanity independent of fossil resources. We are talking about thermonuclear fusion. 35 countries of the world are building an experimental reactor in southern France, the aim of which is to test all the technologies needed for the construction of future fusion power plants. It should be ready in 5 years, and it will run at full power in about another 10. My colleague Martin Tyburec filmed exclusively right in the heart of the reactor under construction.
