Exclusive: TV Nova Owner to Protect Rights of Newly Purchased Content – Formula 1 Broadcasts and More!

The broadcaster has indicated that he is the sole owner of the rights and will protect the purchased content.

TV Nova already offers new channels Nova Sport 5 and 6 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which bring attractive content. So far, however, Nova Sport 5, which brings transmissions from Formula 1, has agreed only with Skylink. The sixth circuit is not even distributed by any operator in our country. Probably therefore in a hurry added these channels to the Voyo servicewhich is operated by Markíza and belongs to the same owner as Nova.

For now, this is a temporary solution – probably until he agrees on inclusion with other players.

“The broadcast of the Formula 1 race will also cover other Grands Prix within the current season. In case of any changes in the distribution of this special offer, we will inform subscribers in advance,” it states. For now, they are in the basic package for 5.99 euros per month.

However, as we managed to find out, Nova TV sent a message to the operators. It states that providers should not count on the fact that they will be able to offer attractive content from Formula 1 on foreign programs.

Nova Sport brand manager Jan Němeček told Živé.sk that they could not provide more information on the topic.

Nova: Block foreign TV

Nova TV, through the law firm, sent a request to operators to refrain from broadcasting foreign channels during the broadcast of Formula 1 broadcasts.

“We would like to ask for your cooperation in order to prevent any unauthorized broadcasting, retransmission, making available or any public transmission of Formula 1 events in the 2024 season on the territory of Slovakia. We have reasonable concerns that such a situation could arise,” Nova liste states. which is available to our editors.

He further describes that only TV Nova owns the exclusive broadcasting rights for this competition. Of course, it alludes to the availability of broadcasts on foreign channels that operators normally offer.
