The demolition of the concrete bridge in Plovdiv will take place ahead of the preliminary promises that this will only happen after the tunnel under the central railway station opens, learned exclusively Plovdiv24.bg.
Due to the delay in the implementation of the entire project, which should be completed by the end of 2023, it was decided at a very high level to work on both sites at the same time.
The plans for a new bridge are now ready. The future connection between the “Yuzhen” area and the Stochna station will be built in two phases. First, the structure will be raised above the lines, after which the new reinforced concrete structure itself will be built. The new facility will be on the site of the current bridge.
Work on the tunnel underneath the central station is continuing at full speed. Activities are concentrated on the south side, and on the north side are to come.
