In an interview with IGN, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch was asked about the current status of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake following its split from Embracer Group.
“It is clear and obvious that we are working on it. It was read in the press several times. What I’m saying is that the game is alive and we strive to exceed consumer expectations,” Karch replied.
Despite Karch’s statement, doubts about the current status of the remake have repeatedly arisen since the announcement in 2021. First, the original Aspyr team stopped working on the project and then it was further developed by Saber Interactive. The news that the sale of Saber Interactive also includes the remake of KoTOR was the first sign of life in a while.
But apparently the worries about Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic were unfounded and we can still look forward to the remake.
