I vo Karamanski-Sano and Antoinette Pepe gave exclusive interview Before NOVA. After months of speculation, fake news and lots of gossip, Christmas is the perfect time for the truth. Are they both together? Facing Marijan Stankov – Mont Deux, they give all the answers. Including a firsthand account of the accident in which he lost part of his arm.
“Yes, we are a couple. We don’t talk so much to show Bulgaria that we are together, but to show that I am with Ivo,” Antonietta announced.
“I’ve never done anything like this in an interview before. There was a lot of speculation, all sorts of nonsense was written. After all, intrigue sells,” Ivo added.
She shared that it was during her teenage years that she first saw Antoinette at a restaurant. It was love at first sight. “I was 16 and she was 24,” Ivo said.
“I didn’t perceive him as a man, but as a child. I grew up in a family where there isn’t a big age difference between men and women. I never imagined that something could happen to Ivo”, said Antonietta .
However, she admits that she is very happy that she gave this relationship a chance and that Ivo shows how wise and mature he is.
“I was judged for it. From everything we read about us, the common thread was this: she is seven years older than him. I don’t think it’s a vice of any kind,” Antoinette points out. And Ivo added, “It’s more like luck and happiness.”
The two say that everything between them started when they were going through difficult times.
“Me in a breakup, him after an accident. We both started sharing and trying to lift each other up,” Antoinette said. “We literally were each other’s salvation,” added Ivo.
Pepe says the hardest time in his life was his divorce.
“Living with an addict is something you can’t understand until you fall into that trap. Even when we lived in Denmark, I knew he liked to have fun, but there weren’t any big red spots that bothered me. When we got to Bulgaria, things got worse, but he got better at hiding his addiction. I haven’t heard that,” he revealed regarding his previous relationship.
She realizes she needs to end the relationship when she finds out about drugs and realizes she has a serious problem.
“It turned out that I didn’t live in a pink bubble, but in a pink world. With two children, one is a newborn,” Antonietta explained.
For Ivo the turning point turns out to be the accident he suffers. “I traveled from Bulgaria to the Netherlands. I was about a hundred kilometers from my destination. I remember driving quite fast, 150-160 km/h. My car bounced and started rolling. I was conscious the whole time Other pilots witnessed it, he was extremely lucky,” he said.
He knew in that moment that he had lost his arm.
“When the car stopped sliding on the roof, I looked at my hand and saw that it was very bad. The hospital told me I was one of the luckiest people they had ever seen and that I was happy to be alive. The doctor’s words were: “Boy, you should know that we probably won’t be able to save the hand,” says Ivo. He thinks he’s alive because he loves life.
With the bionic arm, he reveals that he is getting used to training.
“With will and desire. Many people give up this kind of hand. I want this so I can use it. And to recover the previous functions. If I hadn’t been so stubborn, I wouldn’t have made it,” he explains. After the accident, he says he is now an improved person. And jokingly: “Improved cyborg.”
To the question “If they were God, what would they say to Antonietta and Ivo”, the two answered as follows: “The way you are going is right. Love each other, appreciate each other, come back”, said Ivo. And Antonietta added: “I gave you pure love, the foreigners have not managed to stain it, keep it like this”.
