Gangwon-do said that Governor Kim paid an hour-long annual leave and left early, but the day he applied for annual leave was today, not the same day.

Last week, when forest fires peaked across the country, 12 forest fires in Gangwon Province also burned 73 hectares of forest.

However, Gangwon-do Governor Kim Jin-tae, who is in charge of directing forest fires in Gangwon-do, showed up at the golf driving range last Friday during working hours.

When Governor Kim visited, it was around 5:30 PM, with about 30 minutes left until office hours.
Governor Kim returned to Chuncheon after completing an Arbor Day event in Sokcho and returned to the provincial office, but to a golf driving range he usually visits.

At the time, two forest fires occurred in Hongcheon and Wonju, Gangwon-do.
When Governor Kim asked why he visited the golf driving range during daytime business hours on weekdays, Gangwon-do presented an annual leave statement stating that Governor Kim paid an hour of annual leave and left early.

However, the date of application for annual leave was not the same day as the 31st, but today, three days later.
As soon as the coverage began, it was pointed out that the application for love leave was submitted in a hurry, and Gangwon-do issued an explanation again saying, “Governor Kim applied for love leave verbally on the 31st, but the secretary’s office omitted it and submitted the application only today.”
