PMP MEP Eugen Tomac stated that today there is a new meeting of the JHA Council in Brussels, and last night the agenda was published and he was totally shocked to find that the entire meeting is dedicated exclusively to the Schengen issue, only that this time nothing about enlargement, nothing about Romania and Bulgaria.
“Today there is a new meeting of the JAI Council in Brussels. Last night the agenda was published and I was totally shocked to find that the entire meeting is dedicated exclusively to the Schengen issue, only this time nothing about enlargement, nothing about Romania and Bulgaria. This abuse of power is starting to become more and more defiant under the conditions in which all the European institutions have assured us that the EU’s priority in the Schengen matter is the entry of Romania and Bulgaria”, said the MEP.
Eugen Tomac shows that “President Iohannis assured us last year that in 2023 we will safely enter Schengen, and the government even threatened to sue Austria at the CJEU, only that this topic is completely missing from the agenda of this JAI Council where for two days only Schengen is discussed”.
“Who’s lying and why we’re not on the agenda, the government must explain to us immediately, it’s simply revolting!” says Tomac.
