The popular Lidl shopping chain is thinking of just such a group of customers and has prepared a really hard-to-believe event for them. It is enough if the pensioner fulfills a simple condition. At the checkout he must prove that he is over 65 years old when paying and a discount, which may not be very small, will be added to his purchase. The website wrote about it Economic newspaper.

This in addition, the discount will also apply to already discounted goods, so the amount of the promotional discount will increase even more. One of the conditions for such a favorable purchase is that the customer will have to prove himself with an identity card that will show the date of birth. There has never been a similar event in the Czech Republic
Several things inspired the chain for this unusual event. This is primarily a matter of high inflation, which affects pensioners more noticeably than other groups of the Czech population.
