Exclusive design: Logo for EM 2024 for “Host City” Leipzig presented

Leipzig – In 2024, Germany will be allowed to use the European football championship relay a message. Among other things, the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig kicked, which is why the official logo for the “Host City” has now been presented.

On Tuesday evening at 8:24 p.m., Perry Bräutigam (Club Ambassador of RB Leipzig), Katja Büchel (Office for Sports of the City of Leipzig), Prof. Dr. Jörg Junhold (Director of the Leipzig Zoo), the director Jürgen Zielinski and Lydia Schubert (Leipzig Opera) in front of the trade fair city’s opera.

The design developed by UEFA for Leipzig was projected onto the facade. All upcoming activities, advertisements and publications relating to the EM in Leipzig will be accompanied by the colorful logo.

“The European Football Championship will take place in Leipzig in just under 1000 days and I am delighted that we can give the starting shot today,” said Katja Büchel on Tuesday.

“We consider ourselves lucky that we are already working with strong partners, such as the Leipziger Messe, the Opera and RB Leipzig. Football is a connecting element.”

The European Championship will also be in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich and played Stuttgart. A maximum of five games are to take place in Leipzig, and the trade fair city will also act as an “International Broadcast Center (IBC)”, where all broadcasting activities will be bundled in the summer of 2024.
