Djamel Bouras, famous FLN deputy from the Algerian diaspora, originally from Lille in the north of France, and vice-president of the Pan-African parliament since May 10, 2018, lived a real mishap in Paris last week. Back in France after having stayed briefly in Algiers, Djamel Bouras transited through Paris where he was very discreet since the fall of Bouteflika in April 2019. And for good reason, Djamel Bouras has promised no less than 200 thousand in funding to several people including associations or collectives who mobilized to prepare the campaign for the 5th mandate of Abdelaziz Bouteflika in February 2019.
However, with the start of the Hirak, the project of the 5th mandate fell into the water and the Bouteflikas lost power after the disguised coup of Gaid Salah in early April 2019. Consequently, Djamel Bouras withdrew and did not honor any financial commitment to the partners he had rallied to the cause of the 5th mandate. But the debts have accumulated and the costs have been spent. Many people ask for refunds. But Djamel Bouras fled and regularly took refuge behind his pan-African parliamentary activities in South Africa. A year later, the Algerian MP, a friend of Nacer Bouteflika and Said Bouteflika, thought that his creditors had forgotten this controversial episode.
But during his visit to Paris, “very upset people” went to meet him and asked him to account. The discussion turns into an argument and Djamel Bouras comes out of it with a broken leg as shown in our photo.
