[ EXCLU ] In Draguignan, Leclerc is very small

It is a small shop (250 m2) but it will obviously have a big impact! Leclerc launches an assault on ultra-proximity. It has been happening for a few days in the center of Draguignan, right next to a comic / manga shop. The sign? Leclerc (no more, no less).

Originally there was Loïc Faraco, a member of Luc-en-Provence, 40 minutes from Draguignan (but where he has already installed two drives). And, not being negotiable in the dogma of the house, it is the price of the hyper that arrives in … hypercentre. It is certainly just an imperfect “photo” but out of 30 PGC majors, this micro-Leclerc “puts” 33% in Profit and 52% in Spar. So, on this point, mission accomplished.

In the assortment, Leclerc packed … 8,000 references in 250 m2. A “performance” made possible by the use of glass shelves that allow you to stack more than 10 levels for some products, as well as by the presentation of numerous references on a single front.

This breadth of offer is reflected in particular on an impressive range of hypermarket cuts of meat, a real brewery with more than 130 references only in the bottle (the can can attract a homeless population!), 57 whiskeys, l ‘Whole Brand Gluten – Free private label offering, a selection of kitchen utensils for troubleshooting and a range of charcuterie products.

On the layout (you will discover it in the photos and in the video), Leclerc plays on elegance and premiumization. To this contribute the glass shelves with small tags not exceeding the edge, as well as the black ceiling, the luminous backlit tiles, the black bottoms of the gondolas surmounted by smoked glass caps, the signage, the fake Gerflor parquet floor , etc. In short, Leclerc wants to mix chic and cheap!

At the end of the course, the cash line is made up of only three automatic terminals waiting for a reorder to add a real cash desk. And since you have yet to treat yourself to some cookies, this micro-Leclerc is currently “running” at 600 customers / day for a € 13 basket. A basket that could go up when some customers, attracted by the hyper rates, make it their small main shop!
