‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Pokémon Purple’ mark their roadmap to the future with their DLC trailer, raid against Mewtwo and the release date of ‘The Turquoise Mask’.
‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Pokémon Purple’ are set to expand their borders very soon. In the digital event Pokémon Presents, GameFreak has taken the opportunity to show an important preview of the full expansion pass of the eighth generation and let us drop some of the new creatures that we can capture. They have even surprised us with special functions and other interesting extra information.
The first of the DLCs that make it up, ‘The Turquoise Mask’, already has a release date after this presentation. It can be downloaded from next September 13. It will include a new zone for the game, several new Pokémon and many others that return from previous installments and new rival trainers to defeat throughout the adventure. The second DLC of the game, the older of the two, is still planned for this winter of 2023.

Mewtwo and Mew arrive to give war
In addition to the announcement of the date of the first DLC of the eighth generation, ‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Pokémon Purple’ receive these days two very special creatures to collect. The legendary Mew and Mewtwo get into a fight to see who is definitely the superior being, and the ways they are distributed in as well.
To claim Mew we need to go to the Mysterious Gift section of the game and enter the key GETY0URMEW, with a zero replacing the O. With this we will have a Mew at our immediate disposal at level 5. It will be available until September 18 of 2023.
Claiming Mewtwo will take a more complex process. We will have to fight him and defeat him in a Teracrystal match with three other players between August 31 and September 17. Winning this battle will give us the opportunity to capture it and use it to our liking. Also, it has been dropped that there will be a special surprise if any of the players brings Mew into combat.
