Sony has provided updates on five upcoming PlayStation VR 2 games. This includes Alien: Rogue Incursion and Hitman World of Assassination, both of which have a release date. The final games will come later than previously announced.
Through The PlayStation Blog the whole news can be seen. Almost all of the featured PSVR2 titles will be released this year, with the exception of Hitman World of Assassination, which will arrive a few months later than expected. That game should be released in December, but IO Interactive needs a little more time: it will be released on March 27, 2025. Mare, a puzzle-filled adventure game, can be played now.
Champ Trombone: Unflattened, a re-release of the 2022 rhythm game, not only includes support for the VR set’s adaptive stimuli, but also new music, twenty new trombones to unlock and fifty collectible cards new. The game is coming to PSVR2 later this month on November 26th.
Masters of Light, an action-adventure game currently only playable on Meta Quest systems, is coming to PSVR2 on December 18th. Players take on the role of The Wanderer, a creature that uses light powers to destroy shadowy enemies. The game uses the PSVR2’s eye tracking function and haptic feedback. The game runs at a refresh rate of 90 hertz.
Alien: Rogue Incursion was already announced this summer, but the sci-fi horror game now has a release date. The Survivors game has officially gone gold and will be released on December 19th. In Alien: Incursion you will experience a unique story within the Alien universe. After a failed experiment to create super creatures, players will face new Xenomorphs that are not strong.
As mentioned, Hitman World of Assassination should be released next month, but IO Interactive needs more time for the debut of Agent 47 on the PSVR2. On March 27, 2025, he will appear in VR, where he will hunt for his targets in twenty new areas. Using adaptive stimuli and haptic feedback, players can interact with the environment and use gestures to perform actions.
