2023 is shaping up to be a good year for Sonic fans, with plenty of well-produced Sonic Frontiers content, Sonic Prime Season 2 on Netflix, and the launch of the critically acclaimed Sonic Superstars tomorrow. Luckily, it looks like 2024 might be just as good.
RedditUser Vilkam recently shared slides purporting to be from an internal Sega presentation. Still, someone made sure to delete the PDF file, which ironically might suggest that it’s actually real, since big companies always want these things deleted – even if it’s not waterproof reasoning.
Despite this, the most important content from the slideshow can still be found on social media, and thanks to this we now know that the Knuckles TV series has been moved to 2024 and that we will get the third season of Sonic Prime with Sonic of smartphone games launching in the spring. And it’s about to get even better, as a new game has also been revealed to launch in time for next year’s holidays.
Nothing is known about this secret game, but we suspect it’s a sequel to Sonic Frontier since it premiered less than a year ago. While it might be a well-made fake, let’s keep our fingers crossed that this is the real deal. What kind of Sonic adventure do you want this to be?
