It has been clear since 2015 that something should happen in the Deutz port. At that time, the council decided to turn the former industrial port into a new quarter with apartments and offices. The development plan is now in the works. Including mega pool!

The workshop report literally states: “A swimming facility in or at the harbor basin is planned, the type of implementation and the exact location are currently being examined.”

The new quarter will have a total of eight hectares of water.
