Exciting ‘North London Derby’ between Arsenal and Tottenham: Premier League clash and standings

The calendar crosses this Sunday (September 24) the paths of Arsenal (4th) and Tottenham (2nd), in an exciting ‘North London Derby’, a duel between the great teams from the north of the capital, in the star clash of the 6th Premier League matchday.

Both are also equal on 13 points in the table, the same amount as Liverpool (3rd) and two behind the leader, Manchester City, the only one that counts its five previous league games as victories.

Arsenal will enter the derby with confidence through the roof after their long-awaited return to the Champions League, six years later, with a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven. For its part, it is important to note that Tottenham is absent from international cups and, of course, its main objective will be to return to the continental path.

Both ‘Gunners’ and ‘Spurs’ will try to add the three points to compete for the lead, something that inevitably happens due to a setback by City, which faces Nottingham Forest (8th) on Saturday. It seems that, once again, the ‘Citizens’ are beginning to be the rivals to beat at this beginning of the road. The current champion of England and Europe is depleted by casualties: Bernardo Silva, injured on Tuesday in the Champions League, is added to a long list that includes, above all, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish.

Liverpool (3rd) and Brighton (5th) will play at home on Saturday against West Ham (6th) and Bournemouth (15th), respectively.
