What happens on June 11?
When you open your current app, you will immediately be prompted to download the new blue app. If you watch through hbomax.com, you will be automatically taken to the new streaming environment.
Your billing and login details will stay the same – we’ll take care of everything for you.
Your profiles, viewing history, and My List will be transferred, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Your subscription
As an HBO Max subscriber, you’ll still enjoy the features of your current subscription. If we need to change the functions of your subscription in the future, we will notify you in good time.
Your price – future changes
After launching, you will continue to pay the reduced price of €3.99/month. On your next renewal date, on or after August 13, 2024, we will continue to apply your 50% lifetime discount to the monthly price of the new standard subscription (currently €9.99/month) as long as you maintain your subscription and meet the general terms and conditions of the promotion. Your new reduced price changes to €4.99/month. The new price for the Standard plan is higher than your current monthly price due to significant improvements in the offers and features of our updated service.
If you do not want to keep your subscription at this new price, you can change or cancel your subscription at any time in the subscription options of your HBO Max account before the next your renewal day, on or after August 13, 2024. If you subscribe through an app store, you can cancel your subscription directly through your app store account.
If you have already canceled your subscription but changed your mind before your cancellation took effect, all information in this message will apply to your subscription. If you do not wish to keep your subscription, you must continue with your cancellation.
If you’re using an Apple TV device, make sure you’ve updated your operating system to tvOS 14 or later.

HBO Max Terms of Use – What’s Changing?
Our Terms of Use will be updated to ensure that they accurately describe the structure of our HBO Max platform and upcoming changes, including the types of offers, promotions, features, membership & add-on products and transactions that may be available. For example, our terms explain that HBO Max allows you to access live content, such as channels and event streams. This live content may contain advertising, sponsorship, product placement or other infringements, and when you view this content on demand, it may also be sponsored or include product placement.
We’ve also explained how changing subscriptions will affect promotional offers and trial subscriptions you’re currently using.
We have clarified the limits for using the service, such as not using ad blockers and not extracting data to train AI machines.
We’ve also provided more information about parental controls and how profiles work across devices.
When will our updated terms of use apply?
The updated Terms of Use are available here and will be effective from June 11, 2024. By continuing your subscription after this date, you agree to the terms of use we have new If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription in advance at any time in your account settings. If you choose to cancel, you may continue to use your subscription under your current terms until the end of your current billing period.
If you subscribe through an app store or third-party provider, you can cancel or manage your subscription through your account directly with the app store or third-party provider.
