Exciting News: ‘Eternal Strands’ from Dragon Age Director Launches on Xbox Game Pass Day One!

Eternal Strands, the new game from Dragon Age director Mike Laidlaw and his current studio Yellow Brick Games, will be available on Xbox Game Pass on release day.

That was announced earlier this week. This only applies to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass for PC. A new trailer for the game can be seen below.

The third-person action-adventure game has players as young weaver Brynn exploring the secrets of the Enclave – a once-powerful kingdom. Players fight giant creatures called Arks using powerful weapons and magical spells. Extreme weather conditions can be used to advantage during battle.

Mike Laidlaw, founder of Yellow Brick Games, was previously creative director of the Dragon Age franchise. The studio, which was founded in Quebec City in 2020, also employs several key people who previously worked on the Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs series, including Thomas Giroux, Frédéric St-Laurent B. and Jeff Skalski. Yellow Brick Games will publish the game itself.

Eternal Strands is scheduled to be released in early 2025 on Xbox Series consoles, PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. As mentioned, the game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
