The Emirati cartoon series “Freej”, produced by Emirati director Mohammed Saeed Hareb, is preparing to appear with new and exciting events in the 2024 Ramadan season.
The work, which is considered one of the most famous animation works, has succeeded in capturing the hearts of audiences throughout the Arab world since its launch in 2006. The events of its new episodes take place in a fictional neighborhood within the Emirate of Dubai, and it tells the stories of the daily complications faced by four elderly Emirati women, who are: (Umm Saeed), (Umm Salloum), (Umm Khammas) and (Umm Allawi), in an atmosphere full of laughter and a sense of humor, within an environment that reflects the authentic Emirati culture.
Meanwhile, Deliveroo UAE revealed its cooperation with Lamtri, an artistic production company, to feature a food delivery character in the Emirati animated series “Freej”. The cooperation also includes launching an exclusive store for the series on the Deliveroo application, allowing the possibility of purchasing the series’ products, such as the (Umm Khammas) doll and (brooches) in the shape of famous characters. The partnership represents a significant step in Deliveroo’s journey, as it appears in harmony with the stories of the entertaining series. Deliveroo clips will be shown during the new season, which is scheduled to be shown for the first time during the holy month of Ramadan on MBC’s “Shahid” platform. This step also confirms Deliveroo’s commitment to enriching local culture and innovation within the region’s entertainment scene.
