2023 has been a good year for Sonic fans with lots of great Sonic Frontiers content, the second season of Sonic Prime on Netflix and the well received Sonic Superstars launching tomorrow. Fortunately, it looks like 2024 could be at least as good.
The Reddit user Vilkam has shared what is claimed to be a slide from an internal Sega presentation recently. However, someone has taken care to remove the PDF file, which ironically might show that it is indeed genuine, as big companies always want such things removed – even if it is not watertight reasoning.
The most important thing from the slide is still available on social media, and thanks to this we now know that the TV series Knuckles has been moved to 2024, that we will get a third season of Sonic Prime and that a smartphone title featuring Sonic will be launched during the spring. And it gets better, because it has also been revealed that a new game will be launched well before Christmas next year.
Nothing is known about this secret game, but we doubt it’s a sequel to Sonic Frontiers, since it premiered less than a year ago. While it may be a well-made fake, we’re crossing our fingers that it’s the real thing. What kind of Sonic adventure do you hope this is?
