Al-Marsad Newspaper: New details have been revealed about Ahlam Al-Bashir, the perpetrator of the Istiklal Street bombing in Istanbul, Turkey.
Al-Bashir, who holds Syrian nationality, admitted that she was trained in the intelligence school of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Turkey, in the Syrian city of Kobani (Ayn al-Arab).
She said she trained there as a special intelligence officer about a year ago, according to Turkish media.
Al-Bashir entered Turkey illegally through Afrin with a man 4 months ago.
Al-Bashir and the man, who had initially visited another Syrian man who lived in Esenler district, started posing as husband and wife in order not to reveal their identities. The couple also found work in a camouflage fabric workshop.
Turkish security forces raided 21 addresses that Al-Bashir was in contact with, and then arrested her at her home in Küçükçekmece Canaries on the night of 13 November.
