Exciting New Content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 6

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone players can look forward to a variety of new content with the release of Season 6. Licensed packs are being added, and players have already been able to experience gameplay clips showing what they look like.

An overview of new content

Thanks to Twitter user @BoomstickButch, we were able to see a gameplay clip showing off various operators and weapons. Particularly interesting is the Doom Tracer pack, which will be released on October 9th. He adds to the game the Super Shotgun from the famous id Software series as well as his chainsaw. Reminiscent of classic Doom pixel art graphics, these weapons get bloodier as you defeat enemies.

In addition to the Doom Pack, we also get a first look at the Lilith and Inarius operators, which come straight from Blizzard’s Diablo 4. The Lilith Pack, available October 15th, includes the Daughter of Hate finishing move. The Inarius Pack, for its part, will be released on October 26th and offers the finishing move “Implement of Inarius”.

We also take a look at Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2. His package includes unique animations, such as finishers in different positions and wait-and-pick moves.

Alucard from Hellsing also appears in Call of Duty, as does the Sardaukar skin from Dune Part Two, which has yet to be officially announced. Even Skeletor from Masters of the Universe joins the fight.

And that’s not all, Activision has more content planned such as the Ghost Grim Reaper Pack and other finishing moves for the season. With these partnerships, the developers wanted to make a big impact for the final season of Modern Warfare 2 before the launch of Modern Warfare 3, as well as for the seasonal Halloween update.

The future of franchising

Season 6 marks the conclusion of the Modern Warfare 2 series with an increase in Prestige Rank from 21 to 25 and a new level cap of 1,250. Modern Warfare 3’s beta begins October 6th on PlayStation consoles, with crossplay across all platforms beginning October 12th. Early access to the Modern Warfare 3 campaign begins on November 2nd, with the full launch scheduled for November 10th. Content earned in Modern Warfare 2 will carry over to Modern Warfare 3, allowing you to take your weapons and operators with you into the new game.

With all of this new content and the announcement that Spawn is coming to Call of Duty, fans can expect an action-packed gaming experience full of surprises in the coming months.
