Like Japan Expo 2023 in Paris, a small event on the theme of Japanese culture is being prepared in the city of Rennes. It is the Japan Manga Wave which will take place on September 30 and October 1. For the event, some notable guests will be there. Let’s take stock together on the headliners!
Kai Eden
Kai Iden, French singer of electro/pop music, offers dynamic concerts that fuse his original compositions, covers of K-pop groups and electro remixes of anime manga credits. Everything is embellished with energetic choreography.

Bo Gaultier de Kermoal
Bô Gaultier de Kermoal is a versatile French artist, exercising the roles of actor, director and combat choreographer. He distinguished himself in various productions, notably in the film “ The infernal Montparnasse Tower », alongside Éric and Ramzy. In this film, he made a parody of the iconic yellow jumpsuit of the ” game of death “. In addition, he also made an impression thanks to his involvement in the television series ” Kaamelott ».

Meet Julien Fontanier, the most famous Japanese teacher in France! Creator of the YouTube channel “Japanese lessons”, he allows everyone to learn the language independently and for free.
Join him at his stand during the two days of the event to discuss with him, ask your questions, immortalize moments in photos and acquire the tables of hiragana, katakana and kanji version manga renowned worldwide.

Arnaud Laurent
Arnaud Laurent is an actor specializing in dubbing. MINOR
MION is an award-winning Japanese singer-songwriter from Nagoya, Aichi, who reached No. 1 on the Oricon Singles Chart with her hit single “Summer Magic”.
At the age of 16, she won the Outstanding Performance Award at YAMAHA’s Music Revolution competition, which helped launch her professional career. Having been active in Japan as a singer-songwriter for over ten years, MION has released 11 solo singles and has extensive experience as a performing artist. In her native country, she performed at numerous music festivals, concerts and made four national tours.
In 2022, MION obtained a Global Talent Visa from the UK Home Office after receiving a recommendation from Arts Council England. She has performed overseas in over 15 countries and is currently on a European tour, with the Japan Manga Wave being one of her fall highlights.
For her performance at the Japan Manga Wave in Rennes, she will perform a mix of her original music (J-Pop, J-Rock & ballads) as well as covers of famous anime songs.
