The start of the Euro Floorball Tour was close to ending in a strong turn. But a post shot saved the Czech Republic at the last moment and Sweden fell with the numbers 6-7 in Baltiska Hallen, Malmö.
It was full speed when the U19 national teams from Sweden and the Czech Republic played on Friday afternoon in the Baltic Hall.
The Swedish lead in the first period was changed to a strong second from the red-clad and just when Sweden looked beaten, the push to get back began.
– In the third period, there will be much more direct communication from us coaches and our side and I really think the players hang on. It works and we give it an honest chance. The distribution will be ongoing during this period and we are really close to equalizing, says confederation captain Jonatan Brolin and then summarizes:
– But there is a little too much difference in our performance between the periods today.
A loss in itself is never something positive for a Swedish national team, but Jonatan Brolin sees a lot of positives to build on. Both for the team itself and the players individually.
– It is clear that it is valuable that we know and feel that we have this in us, to be able to come back. However, we need to find ways for the guys to find this behavior that we have in the third period before. It will be the nut to crack, says Brolin and goes into the individual part:
– It’s good experience for everyone and all scenarios that happen and are different are good to experience. To drop a few balls in a row, feel the stress creeping in and then show that you can create and score a few goals in a row.
Tomorrow, Saturday, at 12.15, Sweden’s U19 men play their second match in EFT. Even then, the venue is the Baltic Hall and you, as we watch the match via a screen, find it on Innebandy.TV.
