Australia took a 46-run lead with a day to go. Harmanpreet Kaur and her team are aiming to take the remaining wickets of the Aussie women in the first session today. With that, they can reach victory by crossing the low target. The Aussie women’s goal is to hold on and get a draw without losing a wicket.
Tahlia McGrath (73 off 177 balls), Eliza Perry (45 off 91 balls), heroine Alyssa Healy (32) and opener Beth Mooney (33 off 37 balls) made the match exciting. Aussies were shocked by Harmanpreet dismissing Tahlia and Healy who were holding on. Annabelle Sutherland (12) and Ashleigh Gardner (seven) at the crease when play was stopped on day three.
Sneh Rana and Harmanpreet took two wickets each for India. India started the game yesterday with a score of 376 for seven. Deepti Sharma (78 off 171 balls) and Pooja Vastrakar (47 off 126 balls) were at the crease.
Deepti could add only eight runs and Pooja 14 runs on the third day. The first innings ended on 406 with Renuka Singh (eight) and Rajeshwari Gaekwad (0) falling. Ashleigh Gardner took four wickets for Australia. Kim Garth and Annabel Sutherland took two wickets each. Jes Jonasson has a wicket.
