Frankfurt/Main – In the first main round of the DFB Cup, regional league club FSV Frankfurt missed out on the station and lost 3-0 on penalties to second division club Hansa Rostock. It was 1-1 after 90 and 120 minutes.
Frankfurt’s Malik McLemore scored the opening goal in the 29th minute after a corner that stayed hot for a long time, in the second round the fourth division team went in at the back in their own stadium, while Rostock couldn’t find a counter-recipe for a long time and failed again and again. Serhat-Semih Güler was only able to equalize for Rostock in the 84th minute – it went into extra time, but that still didn’t bring a decision. Rostock had the better nerves in the penalty shoot-out, Frankfurt didn’t get the ball in at all. The other results from Sunday evening: Union Berlin won 4-0 at Astoria Walldorf, SC Paderborn won 7-0 at Energie Cottbus and is also one round ahead.
