Exciting Changes Coming to Microsoft 365 Mobile: Gadgets and Enhancements

Most of Microsoft’s productivity tools in the past were scattered in multiple apps on smartphones, but recently they tried to integrate them all into a unified Microsoft 365 app. Not only does the app give you access to the mobile versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but it’s also the unified window into all the productivity tools in the entire Microsoft ecosystem, which means you get occasional other kinds of useful features. Now, Microsoft 365 Apps is making a series of changes on your smartphone.

Microsoft 365 Mobile is getting gadgets and enhancements soon

First, iPhone and iPad users can take advantage of the latest Microsoft 365 gadgets that let you create new content or perform quick actions on files. There are three gadget styles to choose from:

If you’re an Android user, there’s no new widget available, but you get a new, neat clipper, which appears as a persistent notification or floating bubble. You can use it to crop part of the screen and save it as a screenshot. What makes it special is that Microsoft wants you to use it instead of the standard screenshot function on your phone, because you can use it to store text and images on the screen. This feature should be helpful at first glance, but the persistent notifications and ever-present floating bubbles can be quite annoying after a while. The functions of persistent notification and floating bubble are as follows:

Notifications via Clipper – Pinned notifications from Microsoft 365 apps stay in the panel, and images and text can be snapped from the current screen with a single tap. Floating bubbles through Clipper – can be placed anywhere on the edge of the screen, and one click can capture text and images from the screen without leaving the current content.

These two functions, which are different from the two different mobile operating systems, have begun to be rolled out to users slowly. Of course, it is impossible to complete them all at once. It will take weeks of work to make all users have them. If you still Didn’t see it on my phone, just be patient.
