A landmark day for William and Kate.
Royal fans shared their well wishes for the Prince and Princess of Wales as they marked their 13th anniversary today.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were married at Westminster Abbey in 2011 with an estimated 37 million viewers in the UK.
In the 13 years since then, they have had three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This morning, hundreds of fans rushed to share their wishes for the couple on the X social network.
Some of their admirers described the couple as “lobsters for each other”a term meaning soul mates, while also sharing photos of loving looks between the pair.
“Of all the love stories in the world, this is my favorite”, “True Fairy Tale”, “Happy and sparkling anniversary to William and Catherine. A Glorious Royal Love Story’read some of the comments.
While today is no doubt a joyous celebration for the couple, it has been a difficult year for the royal family.
Notably, the Princess of Wales is currently being treated for cancer following major abdominal surgery at the start of the year.
As she goes through it all, the princess has the unwavering support of her husband William, as she said in a moving video address just a few weeks ago.
William is also supporting King Charles in his battle with cancer.
However, the king’s health is improving and Charles will return to public duties this week with the permission of his doctors.
The 75-year-old king is still undergoing treatment for the illness, but it is understood his medical team is “pleased with the progress made so far”.
Buckingham Palace announced on Friday the king’s plans for his first public engagement in four months, which will be especially poignant given his battle with cancer and that of his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, who is undergoing preventive chemotherapy for an undisclosed type of cancer.
It has already been reported that the monarch is determined to ride her horse Noble for Trooping the Color in June. He allegedly wants to be seen as “leading from the front”.
