(APA / dpa) – According to the “Bild” newspaper, Stefan Ilsanker has been banned from changing RB Leipzig. The league leader of the German soccer Bundesliga does not want to let the 30-year-old ÖFB team player go this winter. The reasons for this include the injuries of captain Willi Orban and Ibrahima Konate, which coach Julian Nagelsmann is still not available in the defense.

“In general, the success of the team always comes before the interests of individual players,” said RB Sport Director Markus Krösche according to “Bild” (Thursday). So far, Ilsanker has only been used six times in 25 games across all competitions. With a view to the European Championships in summer, he wants more practice. Most recently, the defensive player was associated with a move to China.
