The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 21st that as the camping population increased, it inspected 31 camping cooking utensils and found that nickel exceeding the domestic standard was detected in two of these products.

In addition, as a result of inspecting 20 foods claiming to be healthy for bones and joints among the overseas foods purchased directly from online shopping malls, raw materials and ingredients subject to blocking from being imported into the country were detected in 4 products, and a request was made to block import and sale into the country and suspend sales.

As a result of testing 31 camping cookware products for heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, nickel exceeding domestic standards was detected in barbecue skewers sold by Temu and folding cookware sold by Ali.

The domestic standard is less than 0.1 mg/L, with nickel detected in excess of 0.18 mg/L in barbecue skewers and 0.31 mg/L in folding cooking utensils.

In three products, raw materials and ingredients subject to ban from being imported into the country, such as cat’s claw and white willow, were detected. Confirmed. In particular, diclofenac is a prescription drug that requires a doctor’s prescription, and if taken excessively without a doctor’s prescription, it can cause side effects such as vomiting, abdominal pain, seizures, and gastrointestinal bleeding.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is collaborating with relevant organizations to quickly take measures to prevent the importation and sale of foods claimed to be good for bone and joint health into the country by requesting the Korea Customs Service to withhold customs clearance for foods with confirmed harmful ingredients and requesting the Korea Communications Standards Commission to block access to online sales sites. did it

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, “In order to wisely purchase overseas direct-purchased food, consumers must first check on the ‘Overseas Direct Food Correct Website’ to check whether the product contains raw materials or ingredients that are subject to ban from being imported into the country, and do not purchase products registered as hazardous foods purchased overseas. “It must not be sold to third parties or used for business purposes.”
